About the teacher: Dr. Luke Wynja holds three graduate degrees in theology and counseling. He and his wife live in Lakeville with their 11 children. In his doctoral research, he interviewed young adults (ages 18-25) about parenting practices they found most helpful in their teenage years. His findings, personal experience as a parent of 11, and biblical truth are the foundation of this conference.
The conference each night runs from 4:00 - 7:00PM. There will be one hour (4:00 - 5:00) of lecture style content then parents are encouraged to go out and spend time in reflection and discussion over dinner, at home, or in community with each other (5:00 - 7:00). There will be childcare and dinner for kids provided. Feb 7, March 7, and April 11. You may attend one or all three of these sessions.
We will have nursery (6 weeks - 3 years) and Elementary aged childcare. The elementary age group will play a group game, eat dinner, then watch a movie.
Below is an option for payment. The cost to put on this event is around $25 per night, per adult attending, which helps cover dinner for children and childcare. If cost would prevent you from attending, please don’t let it. We would still love for you to be there!
