Women’s Bible Study: “Luke in the Land: Walking with Jesus in His First Century World” by Kristi McLelland
Facilitators: Ellie Gednalski, Diane Huizenga, Sherrie Seidensticker
Follow Kristi through Israel as we study snapshots from the Gospel of Luke to see where the stories of the Bible took place. Over these sessions, challenge the way you read the accounts of Jesus through teaching videos that take you to locations in Israel like Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, and the road to Emmaus. Along the way, you’ll see how Jesus, the Messiah, brought His kingdom to earth for everybody. Cost: $10
Men’s Book Study: “Lies Men Believe” by Robert Wolgemuth
Facilitators: Dave Marrone, Ray Mellema
Men, join us for an eight-week study using Robert Wolgenmuth ‘s book “Lies Men Believe.” Taught jointly by Dave and Ray, the study will also incorporate other material gleaned from multiple other authors. If you are unable to attend regularly, please still join us. The book stands alone quite well outside of any formal group study, which allows you to stay up to date with the group. Cost: $10
Mixed Group Bible Study: “Everyday Theology: What You Believe Matters” by Mary Wiley Facilitators: Hans and Emily Albrecht
Theology, the study of God and His work in the world, isn’t just for those with lots of letters after
their names or the staff at your church. It is for you in your everyday moments, everyday questions, and everyday decisions. What you believe determines the lens through which you see the world, how you live your daily life, and how you respond to both blessing and disaster. In this study you’ll delve into eight essential doctrines of the faith: Scripture, God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, humanity, salvation, the church, and the end times to understand how the foundations of your faith matter in everyday life. Cost: $10
Trauma and PTSD Counseling Group Facilitator: Christina Miner
This group will focus on Christ-centered healing for trauma and PTSD, using the Bible, “Knowledge of the Holy” (Tozer), “The Body Keeps the Score” (Van Der Kolk) as its core curriculum. The format of the group will be a mixture of teaching, group discussion, prayer, individual and paired activities, and homework. Participants will not be asked to share details of their trauma or PTSD. Class is limited to 7 participants. Participants must be 18 years or older. This class is free.
